The warm, handmade black paper greets you in an unexpected location, upturned to reveal an elegant pressed white wax seal. Upon turning it in your hands you see your name written in an elegant metallic white calligraphy across its front.Unbeknownst to you, a choice has been removed from your life. You will not die, not here at least. The letter's arrival is an omen, regardless of if you open it now or later or never. Spectrum Tragedian is an 18+ MKG based in Metrianda. Players are brought in from all over the multiverse, where they are appointed titles and a status as "Heroes", having been grabbed from their hailing origin worlds, narrowly escaping the clutches of their nearly approaching deaths. However, things take a turn as the spectrum of characters find themselves held captive in the space station to which they were summoned. Only killing their fellow players and getting away with the crime will save them from their tragic new fate- and grant them an escape.Spectrum Tragedian proudly features a cast of 24 players, unique art, various challenges, puzzles, combat, and investigations all entirely run on discord. Spectrum has multiple possible endings, a variety of mysteries and oddities to uncover, and a smorgasbord of non-player characters to interact with!

System
Spectrum Tragedian is intended to be structured as a 6-8 chapter game.
While the majority of the game will run on a scripted narrative, a significant portion is malleable and changes based on player choices and actions.
Each chapter will follow a similar breakdown:Daily Life
Heroes of Give will be living their lives within the station. Minor events and exploration may occur. Heroes may face micro-challenges, combat, or adventures.
1-2 weeksChallenges
The Heroes will be challenged to a group-based challenge or event that will open up new mini-sectors of the station, allow access to new activities or things, or will introduce new non-player characters.
1 weekMotive
After the challenge the motive will be revealed, coaxing a hero to murder one of their own. Minor events and exploration may occur. This concludes with the discover of the body.
1-2 weeksInvestigation and Trial
The heroes will be gathered and an investigation will take place. You are the police, by all regards, so it’s up to you to solve your own coworker’s murder. When the platoons are divided and sent out investigation begins. Once the investigation concludes the trial begins. We will be following the 2 day trial system.

Once the trial concludes the hosts will open up a new sector of Give to the heroes to access.
2 daysAnd then it all repeats again, ad infinitum.
Threads
Once the game begins there will be two servers for players to roleplay in. The primary or Main server, where heroes can roleplay in designated claimed location channels, and the Threads server where heroes can roleplay in character + character dedicated channels. The threads server allows heroes to roleplay with multiple characters at once by having Hero-specific categories and channels created for the purpose of roleplaying as need be. Channels in the thread server can be made private for courtesy or lore-reveal purposes.Challenges
Challenge is a catch-all term that we are using to describe a variety of different events that can occur. A challenge period will be provided with each chapter that gives heroes a new and interesting circumstance to roleplay within. These might be puzzles, dungeon-crawls, combat, or all three.Investigations
Investigation will involve groups of heroes examining the station looking for clues and information that will inevitably help them find the identity of the killer. Players will team up, share clues and alibis, and discuss theories.Trials
The trials will be begun and concluded within 2-3 OOC days. The first day will revolve around setting the scene and sharing clues and theories, the second day will be when we begin to field accusations.
We will be using a queue system, wherein heroes will place themselves in a queue to speak in trial. The order of which is determined by a first-come submission system in a separate channel. Each participant will be pinged when their time to speak comes up, and then you have 1 hour to construct your post.Cases
All cases are decided first based on volunteers. If more characters are needed for the case then the remaining roles are filled randomly. NPC Heroes may be included in this randomization.
If a player will be inactive for an extended period of time (1-2 months) they may be at risk of being killed off. Please discuss with the mod team before you take a hiatus.
Once victims and killers are chosen, the mod team will discuss with the cast potential motives and clues to help build the case. This is a collaboration and a discussion, so active participation is preferred.
Casers will be given an option to create their own case art if they feel so inclined.

Q: How many applications am I allowed to submit?
A: 2 maximum. Please do not submit more than two as we will only be picking one.Q: Is there a page limit?
A: Yes, your application should not exceed 60 pages.Q: What is the preferred length for backstory? Are bullet points allowed?
A: Please go in depth on your backstory. While every detail is not necessary we would like to know as much as we can so we are not surprised by details later. If you believe something is important and would like us to know it, please include it.
Please do not also exceed 15 pages of backstory, and do not write under 2. Make sure to include a TLDR regardless of length, which should be no more than 5 sentences.Q: Do you allow duos?
A: Yes! We also will allow trios! Though it should be noted that only 3 groups will be allowed in and we may separate them.Q: Will there be an extension?
A: There will be no extension period offered. There will be a 24 hour grace period after the deadline. Do not treat this period as an extension, cast selection will begin immediately after the deadline.
This is the same for Power Roles. If you are submitting for a power role please have your application in by the Power Role Deadline.Q: Can I change the appearance of the application?
A: Yes, but please keep things in the order they are in. Please also ensure that your application is legible, if we struggle to read your app we will not accept it.Q: Where can my character come from?
A: Anywhere! They can be a fan character, from an original world of yours, or a reinterpretation of a historical character.
We will not accept applications for real life people.
If you are going for an official character or a reinterpretation of a historical character please be creative, we will not accept just superman or micky mouse or a jedi. We want to see your creativity at play! Pay note to reinterpretation.Q:What kind of talents/occupations are and are not allowed?
A: We will not be allowing NSFW talents, but we will tentatively allow NSFW occupations so long as they are treated with respect. The usage of sex work or other NSFW occupations for shock value is strictly prohibited. NSFW talents and occupations will be judged HARSHLY, as will your ability to comfortably play them in this setting. If applying someone with a NSFW occupation or talent please be aware that this game will not allow ERP and consent of the group and the characters must be explicit and clear. This is not an erotic game and we will not allow it to be treated as such.
Lucky/Unlucky will be allowed, as will ??? talents.
Cover talents/occupations will also be allowed. Please make sure you also specify which talent should appear on the roster.
Talent-less and unemployed characters will also be allowed.
Supernatural and Sci-Fi talents and occupations are most certainly allowed.Q: Will service animals or pets be allowed?
A: Yes, tentatively. We will not be killing your animal, however. If you apply your character with an animal please be aware that we may deny your animal access. There will be chances for your character to adopt a pet during the run of the game.
If you have further questions please do not hesitate to DM us!Q: Are non-english/common speaking OCs allowed?
A: Somewhat, if your character does not speak/understand english/common they must have a means to be able to communicate. Some examples of such could be: your character’s parrot can translate for them, they have an implant that can automatically translate for them, they are under the effects of a spell/have an artifact that assists them with this. If you do elect to do something like this please know that this is likely going to either be this item’s only use or it will take up one of your character’s “"special/magic”“ item slots.
The reason we disallow this is because there will be no specific in-game mechanic that will allow quick and reliable translations between languages!Q: Are supernatural or sci-fi characters allowed?
A: ABSOLUTELY! Go crazy, buddy.Q: What level of technology exists in this world?
Q: What level of magic exists in this world?
A: Metrianda is a mix of high-tech and high-magic, if you can think it, they probably have it.
However please be reasonable in what you do with your character, if something is far too absurd we might have to reject it.Q: What time period does this game take place in?
A: Don’t worry about it :)Q: Are non-humanoid characters allowed?
A: Tentatively. We may accept certain non-humanoid characters but we prefer bi-pedal species.
Please keep in mind that the number of special abilities your characters have should be limited to 2-3. This includes special racial traits like flight, telekinesis, or teleportation.
Please do not apply animals. We will not accept something like a cat or horse.Q: Will there be app feedback?
A: Depending on the volume of applications and the workload the mods have to deal with at the time there may or may not be individual feedback. If it is before the deadline, we like your app, and we believe the issues are small enough a mod may reach out to you regarding an issue with your app. Otherwise do NOT ask for critique and do not harass the mods, we choose when to help you.Q: When will the cast roster be revealed?
